Welcome to September’s newsletter, we had a break from the newsletter last month as it was such as busy time following the summer fete. But we had a fun filled August with lots of activities plus a trip to Avoncroft museum. Everyone who came along had a wonderful day; we enjoyed lunch at the Edwardian tea rooms and had a great time looking around the old buildings, including a mission church, a prefab, an ice house and of course the windmill! We’ve been harvesting our vegetables from the garden; potatoes, cabbages and broad beans- to name a few. Our marrow is looking fab and is nearly ready, I might just eave it there until it becomes competition worthy!
September has lots lined up for you; some music therapy, animal visits, sing alongs and our world’s biggest coffee morning. Hope to see you all somewhere along the way.
As we had a break from the newsletter last month I havnt informed you of our grand total made for our residents’ fund made from both the fete and our annual sponsored walk. We made an amazing £968.17p! This fabulous amount we be put towards our days out and all important activity resources.
We need to say a big thank you to everyone who sponsored our walk and showed their support on fete day, it was a wonderful day and enjoyed by us all. Big thanks also to everyone who made donations of items for the stalls and their time on the day, we couldn’t have done it without you.

It would be great to see you all for a pot of tea and a natter, let’s see if we can beat the donation we made to the charity last year.
We would love it if you haven’t already to recommend us to carehome.co.uk. The forms are available in the foyer and help people looking for a care home find the right place for them. The more recommendations we get the higher we appear on their site- thank you.
