So, we need to wish you all a very belated ‘happy new year!’ We hope you enjoyed a very merry Christmas and new year and need to say a big thankyou to everyone that came and joined us for the festivities.
Also, thank you to you all for donating to our raffle and buying lots of tickets, we raised a wonderful £165 for our resident’s fund. This will help us continue with our regular outings and go towards expanding our activity resources.

Last month we tried something a little new, we had an exercise class with Andrew and it was amazing! We all had so much fun and Andrew was just brilliant. He bought along bean bags, balls, balloons and a parachute- we had a great hour, so great in fact that Andrew will be joining us once a fortnight for the rest of the year.

Thursday February 9th, 11.00. Me, myself and Di.
We haven’t seen these ladies for a little while, but we love them! Barbara and Di will be joining us for an hours sing along, which will be great, but the stories they tell make us giggle and that’s just as much fun!
Tuesday February14th, 2.00. Pet therapy session followed by a Valentine’s tea party.
This is something new for us this afternoon. As well as exercise classes, progressive mobility offer a range of activity events including pet therapy sessions. Jessica will be our instructor this afternoon and will be bringing along some lovable friends for us to get up close with. It should be great fun, I know how much you all love animals.
This will be followed by a Valentine’s high tea; sandwiches, mini quiche, cakes, puddings and our best china- sounds lovely.
Thursday February 23rd, 11.30 onwards. Pub lunch, The Tardebigge.
We’re off for a pub lunch today, we’re off somewhere new too! It combines two of our favourite things; food and alcohol! If you would like to come along, let me know- we’ll discuss it with you in our next meeting. It’s quite exciting, as we will be joined by some of our friends from Tutnall Hall too! If you would like to come along with your relative, which would be wonderful, please let me know as I will need to confirm numbers with the pub. Thank you.
oaonday Feerubruary211.00. David McFegan.
David has become quite the regular with us here at Grosvenor House. He will be spending an hour with us, David brings his accordion with him and we sing along to some of our old favourites.
And finally, Sunday February 26th; British Summertime begins! Hurray!
Wednesday 8th March, 11.00. Melody therapy.
We always enjoy our mornings spent with Adele. We get to do a little singing as well as getting to play some instruments with her, let’s be honest-we just like making lots of noise!
Monday 13th March, 11.00. Rusty Smith.
Don’t tell anyone but Russell is our favourite! He always manages to make us laugh. He’ll be trying some of his new songs out this morning and we’re going a little more upbeat, can’t wait!
Wednesday 22nd, 2.30. Beth Berry.
Another new entertainer for us this afternoon. Beth will be joining us for an hour, she will be singing some of our favourites and bringing along some instruments for us to play too. Hope this is the first of many visits to us here at Grosvenor House.
