Hello all and welcome to our July newsletter, it’s full of all that we’ll be up to in the coming month.
June was a just as busy for us; we had a new entertainer visit us; Phoebe. Her hour of singing was enjoyed us all as was the high tea that followed, it was lovely to see a few more of you could join us to indulge in some yummy cakes.
As the weather has brightened (hopefully a sign of things to come!) we’ve been spending more time outside in the garden; dining el fresco, enjoying afternoon tea and tending to our flowers and vegetable patch. It’s wonderful to be able to get out into the fresh air and enjoy our beautiful gardens.
A few of us also took a trip to the new shopping centre in Longbridge to investigate the M&S as well as the other pshops there. It was a lovely day out and we even stayed for lunch. Only one crisis- the lift on the minibus broke down! But it was soon sorted by our fab driver Nigel-phew!
A few thankyous now; firstly, thanks need to go to everyone who came along to lend a hand and helped the trip go smoothly and secondly thanks need to go to Debbie who kindly donated the money we used to buy our new bigger greenhouse for the garden this year. It has already been put to good use, it protected all our seedlings and plugs before we planted out and made our hanging baskets and will continue to be used for many years. It looks great and helps keep my wellies dry too!
Looking forward to July now, there’s plenty going on. Me, myself and Di are making a comeback, Russell and Alana are visiting and of course our sponsored walk and summer fete are happening this month.

It’s here! Fete day. If you have anything to donate to our stalls we would be very appreciative; tombola prizes, plants, books or any other donations would be great- there’s still time. Please see the office or Zoe if you have any queries.
The fete will be being opened by our local MP at 2 o’ clock and then our afternoon of fun will begin. Pimm’s, cakes and jams, samosas, tombola, plants, books, face painting as well as as a performance from Vintage Class are all on the bill.
