Can’t believe it’s December already! We started last month with Bonfire night enjoying hotdogs and fireworks display in the garden, it was great to see so many of the residents wrapped up to enjoy the display.

For Armistice Day we had a lovely service from Roger and David from Tardebigge Church after watching the wreath laying at the Cenotaph on the TV.

We had a fantastic afternoon performance from Ruby Red, she really brought some musical cheer and it was lovely to see everyone singing along.

During November we also began our Christmas preparations by making some Christmas cards and makings dozens of pompoms for our Christmas wreaths.

We’re in full swing for the festive season and the Christmas decorations will be going up on the 1st to bring some Christmas cheer. We will continue with our crafting activities, including making some baubles and also Christmas cake decorating.

For our residents’ Christmas party, we will be treated to the musical talents of Helen Pierson, singing some favourite Christmas songs and there will also be a buffet to enjoy.

The staff will be showing off their singing voices by performing a carol service for the residents, accompanied by mince pies and a tipple. We will be holding a Christingle service on Christmas Eve, and the residents can make their own Christingle oranges to go with the service.

We will be ending the year with a little party of drinks and treats, and of course some music and dancing.
